PWN Global Virtual Diversity Lab: The New Normal 2020

29 October 2020 15:00 CET - 17:00 CET ZOOM WEBINAR

There is no doubt that the future of work, and life, has been revolutionised by the challenges we have experienced in 2020. The important questions to ask are: How is it evolving, and how are we all responding to it?

It’s clear that we all need to make adjustment to our relationships in both the personal and social context. Roles and responsibilities are becoming clearer and more than ever we are seeing a questioning of traditional patterns and burdens on the different gender roles.

From a professional perspective we need to reinvent how we work together, advance our careers, and value each other. This feels somewhat like a reinvention of career development and the long standing ‘rules’ pertaining to how to climb the corporate ladder are changing….for the better.

Never has there been a more important time to have a global network to support and steer your thinking from an organisational perspective, and to help you learn how to thrive in the “new normal”.

We are delighted to invite you to the latest in our series of successful PWN Global Diversity Labs, on the subject of "The New Normal: The Power of a Global Network to enable and support Gender Balance Leadership in 2021 - Good for Women, Good for Men, Good for Business".  Check our the history of our Diversity Labs here: Diversity_Lab_Brochure_2020_FINAL-SIGNED_OFF.

As the pandemic rages on, organisations are giving focus to immediate needs - how to deal with the “new normal” in terms of remote working, revenue decreasing and the uncertainty of the future. Whilst still important, D&I is taking a back seat to these current challenges. We need to drive the agenda for maintaining that focus even in these business critical times, because gender balance is a business critical issue.

The virtual Diversity Lab will be hosted by PWN Global’s Co-Presidents, Carina Furlong and Sheila Gemin. They will share with you their insights and the systemic themes that they have witnessed over the past six months, within our global network. Specifically looking at:

  • The organizational challenges for female talent to stay relevant and visible in our current virtual environment
  • The required increase of digital fluency and its importance
  • The need to keep D&I as a focus on the Board Room Agenda to maintain the momentum of your networks ability to meet set targets around gender balance in your organisation.

During the session, we will also invite participants to share:

  • your journey in gender diversity and inclusion in 2020
  • the changes you have seen in the D&I area because of the pandemic crisis
  • your successes – the great initiatives and programs and what’s working
  • your challenges - to become inclusive and balanced at all levels of your organisation and protecting the gains and ensuring the pace is maintained in 2021

Our aim is for you to leave this session with new insights, new solutions and new connections along with experiencing a safe place to generate positive energy and creativity for your personal mission.

PWN’s strength is being able to connect you with other companies, from different industries, who are facing similar challenges. Together, we can leverage great ideas and innovations in gender balance leadership to help you reinforce your workforce of the future.
